Don’t Allow Husband, Pastor or Anyone to Stop You From This

Welcome. Welcome. Welcome. This is
Kingdom Wisdom and my name is Jenny-Lyn Allen from JennyLynAllen
dot com and I provide married Christian women entrepreneurs
with the godly wisdom, strategies, and accountability that
they need to transform their lives, marriages and businesses for
the Kingdom. And today I just want to talk about something that
I see that can be a major stumbling block to moving into the
fullness of the calling and purpose that God has for you, to see the
manifestation of the vision that God has for you. And that is
people-pleasing. [theme music] [theme music] [theme music] [theme music] [theme music] [theme music] [theme music] See, the thing about it is when God is calling
you into something new, when God is calling you into that purpose
that He has for you and God has given you a godly vision … No
doubt when God showed that to you, when God reveal that to you,
there was a ton of excitement surround that … around that.
But unfortunately, what tends to happen is when we take that and we share it
with other people, the fact of the matter is not everyone is going to
be happy and share your level of excitement that you have
when you get the revelation. And unfortunately, even people in
your close circle may not even be excited about it. And that could
include your own husband or even someone like a pastor or a
church leader … may not even be as excited or they may not
even be encouraging as you would like. This is actually
something that I wanted to address today because unfortunately
what we can tend to do when this happens is that we can
tend to shrink back and pull back, thinking you know … probably
starting to question and doubt God … whether you’ve heard from
God correctly. See the thing is, a lot of times
if you’re a people-pleaser, if that is something that is being
operational in your life right now, what tends to happen is you
gauge your decisions based on the response and reactions of others.
So, if your husband didn’t respond favourably, if a church leader
pastor didn’t respond favourably, then that might prevent
you from taking action. But I want to encourage you today to not
allow the reaction of your husband, a pastor or anyone else to
deter you from taking action. Here’s why, this is what
it tells us in second Corinthians six verse eight. It says
that, “We serve God whether people honor us or despise us, whether
they slander us or praise us. We are honest, but they call us
impostors.” The truth is not everyone is going to believe you when
you say that you heard from God or that you have a message from
God. And it’s really unfortunate that even some of the
closest people to you may not even believe you. But this is actually
something that is to be expected as we can see from the
Word. And so what I wanted to caution against today is for
you to base your response to God’s vision and God’s calling on your life
on someone else’s reaction. Because a lot of times we might
think, okay well if my husband doesn’t agree or if my pastor
does not agree, then maybe that means I’m not supposed to do
it. But that is actually something that I don’t see that
is biblical. Because you will be sacrificing the calling, the vision that
God has given you just for the sake of keeping someone else
happy. And that is not something that I personally have
found in scripture. In fact, In first Samuel chapter
15 verse 22, we are told that, “Obedience is better than sacrifice”.
So the main thing that you are being called to do is to
obey God. So you can’t allow anything or anyone to keep you from
obeying God. Here’s why, every time you take an obedient step that’s when
you will get more clarity. A lot of times,
God gives us the vision and it’s a big vision and
the next step might not be as clear or it’s not … we don’t
get the full blueprint, I should say, because if we do seek
God, He will give us the next step, although we might not be able
to … or we might think that this has nothing to do with
the vision. But you trust God that whatever He shows you to do, that
you can do it and trust Him with that. And the thing is, God’s
not going to give you everything to do at once for you to see
manifestation of the vision. He’s going to give you a step. And every
time you take an obedient step, then He shows you
more and more of that vision. So, if you’re feeling stuck and frustrated
in your vision, maybe you’re feeling like you just don’t
have any clarity. Could this be why? Are you allowing people-pleasing
to keep you from taking obedient action Remember, obedience
is better than sacrifice. You cannot sacrifice the vision and
the calling that God has for you. Always seek to obey God in everything.
Actually, this is what Peter said in Acts
chapter five verse 29. He said, “But Peter and the apostles
replied, ‘We must obey God rather than any human authority.'”
Always obey God. The thing is, a lot of times
we equate God’s peace and peace with there never being any conflict
or things just working out perfectly and all that.
But that’s actually not biblical. The truth of the matter
is you’re stepping into God’s calling and purpose for your life
as a Kingdom-building entrepreneur. There’s going to be tension.
There’s going to be conflict. And unfortunately, it’s going to be
even in your closest circle. So, definitely this is something that
you need to navigate with godly wisdom and guidance.
God will either give you the grace to stay or the confidence to leave.
But I say this … a word of caution with that when it comes
to your marriage, you want to be very careful that you’re operating with
godly wisdom concerning what you ought to do. But the one thing
I want to encourage you not to do is to allow anyone to keep you
from obeying God. Because it’s when you take obedient action that
you will get more clarity on the vision that God has given you and
you will move further and further along into the purposes
that He has for you. So, I pray that this Kingdom wisdom
has been a blessing to you. If it has please”Like” and share this,
And if you would like to take the godly wisdom and get some personalized
strategies and accountability, then take action

that you get in touch with me. I know for some of you that
might seem … even just taking that action … might seem like a scary
thing and there could be so many thoughts going through
your mind when it comes to taking obedient action. So, I want
to encourage you, that because of God’s Holy Spirit in
you, you are always more powerful than you think and than
you feel. All right? That’s it for now. Take care and God bless.
