Reply January 9, 2018 at 5:42 am The reason why the 1998 Vikings didn't win the Super Bowl is the same reason why the 2017 Vikings WILL win the Super Bowl- DEFENSE. Reply January 15, 2018 at 11:32 pm Just chuck it deep! Reply January 15, 2018 at 11:56 pm 1:52:50 AFTERBURNER! Reply January 18, 2018 at 4:24 pm Some of the worst penalty calling I've seen. The play at 16:00 as well as the next play after that one, there was no illegal shift on the first one, and no illegal motion on the second one. Must have been hallucinating. Reply January 21, 2018 at 4:54 am having the 2 nfc champ game losses is good for Falcons and Saints. At least for us Vikings fans you put two full games on here. The 1987 upset win vs 49ers to go to NFC Championship Game is the other! Yes, we know our shameful choking. But these two games, We need it! Reply January 23, 2018 at 9:57 am What interest I would have in watching the game if I already knew the winner!!! I just made the comment and left. Please stop mentioning the winner in the title. Reply February 7, 2018 at 9:43 pm I'm still piss of that the Cowboys didn't draft Randy Moss thanks a lot Jerrah Jones Reply February 10, 2018 at 7:37 pm Super entertaining football game, but god the announcer is way to mono tone like show some emotion for goodness sakes Reply February 11, 2018 at 4:29 am The most exciting game I have ever watched in any sport, for me personally anyways. Pat and John commentating just elevates it even more to legendary status. Reply March 17, 2018 at 10:39 am I hope Dallas cowboys win the Minnesota Vikings Reply May 6, 2018 at 10:02 pm Cowboys are a mess in this game, and all their star players gave up after a quarter, what a offence vikings had, packer fan. Reply May 14, 2018 at 7:01 pm Just one question… who won the Turkey Leg? Reply May 16, 2018 at 5:22 am 1:00:47 aikman yells GD for the dropped pass Reply June 9, 2018 at 4:15 pm I'm a diehard Broncomaniac but John Madden has been and will forever be the best second voice in football. Pat Summerall as a first voice was amazing too but I think Al Michaels is on that level. Reply June 14, 2018 at 11:22 am I like how the ref try to get the boys back in the game by calling all kind of bs penalty Reply June 14, 2018 at 11:28 am Where are the penalties for Minnesota Reply July 15, 2018 at 9:51 pm Troy Aikman took more hard hits in this 1 gane than Tom Brady takes in a whole NFL season. It is not your diet, Tom. Its the fkn rule changes. Reply July 20, 2018 at 3:55 am i loved Deion but and i mean but he didnt want that Moss smoke Reply August 3, 2018 at 9:05 pm Sometimes I watch this video to see how good the Vikings were, and sometimes I leave it on in the background to enjoy the ambience of Madden & Summerall. Reply August 5, 2018 at 1:59 pm Injuries, dropped passes, bad passes by Aikman and tons of flags. The Cowboys didn't stand a chance in this one. Reply August 23, 2018 at 1:22 am At 2:31:07 What song is playing in the background? It was a nice day 50 or 60 degrees in November in the midwest I went outside for the rest of the day! Reply September 19, 2018 at 9:19 pm Still better than Buck and Aikman. Reply October 20, 2018 at 7:47 am I watched a Super Bowl called by Joe Buck right before this. It made me realize how great John Madden really was. He gets inside the play in plain terms with a pleasant delivery. How priveledged we were to have him in the booth. Reply November 16, 2018 at 4:11 pm The tackle by Robert Griffth at 1:22:50 was madden 2000 intro Reply November 18, 2018 at 5:10 am Had we gotten this Cunningham in philly, the eagles would have had multiple superbowls. Carter, Moss, Robert Smith etc, they had so much talent. Sucks they didnt win the SB Reply December 13, 2018 at 8:22 pm Had PrimeTime been in the game this would have been a much much different story Reply December 22, 2018 at 4:11 pm If Deion would’ve been healthy that day we would’ve won, Aikman shredded that weak defense Minnesota had, big reason why they didn’t win the super bowl that year. Reply December 27, 2018 at 5:05 am Love Madden/Summeral and like the Vikes! Special place in Hell for the Cowpies. Go 'Skins! MAGA! KAG! Reply January 7, 2019 at 4:35 am At 28:41 , I spy a future Minnesota Vikings head coach Reply January 21, 2019 at 12:38 pm Deon with Dallas was passed his prime. Old ass Reply January 26, 2019 at 1:21 am My goodness!! Moss just OWNED Kevin Smith!! Reply January 27, 2019 at 1:33 am For context: the Cowboys were the perennial dominators for years. The Vikings were suddenly explosive in 1998, much like the Chiefs were in 2018. Before this game, there was skepticism that they were for real. This put the 98 Vikings on the map and feared looking to the playoffs. Everybody KNEW they would throw long passes to Moss all day long – and yet they still did it. Reply January 27, 2019 at 9:01 pm The main reason why the NFL uploaded these games for the fans i think is because they are losing a lot of their fan base. People are just sick of the way they changed the rules of the game. Reply January 27, 2019 at 9:27 pm The two most successful black quarterbacks in the NFL could be Doug Williams and Randall Cunningham. But Doug Williams was the only black QB to win a super bowl . Reply February 27, 2019 at 3:29 am 1998 was the last great nfl season. Reply March 4, 2019 at 8:02 pm This was the best team the Vikings ever had Reply March 18, 2019 at 10:33 pm The Vikings had 5 touchdowns over 50 yards in this game wow Reply March 24, 2019 at 3:51 pm This game was a complete joke a complete bullshit game Reply April 3, 2019 at 10:46 pm Man so many fumbles Reply April 8, 2019 at 12:18 am Robert Smith was a Baaaad boy Reply April 15, 2019 at 5:37 pm Joe Buck was heard shouting "That is a disgusting act by John Madden, the way that gobbler treated that turkey." Reply June 7, 2019 at 10:49 am AS USUAL, Deion Sanders was always out and unavailable to play in big games after Jerry way overpaid him in 1995 for a season that they probably could have won the Super Bowl without him anyway. Reply June 8, 2019 at 3:39 am Lol John Madden can't help but speak the vernacular while watching Randy Moss in his prime Reply June 22, 2019 at 6:12 am Boo Reply June 24, 2019 at 4:13 am 1:54:41 the greatest stat line in NFL history Reply June 25, 2019 at 2:16 am This game was Moss giving Jerry Jones the finger for passing on him. Reply June 26, 2019 at 7:29 am Moss dropped a perfectly-thrown pass that would have resulted in a 62-yard TD with 5:12 remaining in the 4th quarter. Would have given him 4 receptions for 225 yards and 4 TDs. Reply June 28, 2019 at 10:22 pm moss letting em have it for passing on him in the draft… sweet revenge Reply July 11, 2019 at 3:20 am I Was 1 Year Old 1998 Reply July 11, 2019 at 3:21 am Troy Aikin Likes It Reply July 11, 2019 at 3:21 am Turkey-Bowl Reply July 11, 2019 at 3:22 am Redskins 1997-2007Panthers 2007-Present Reply July 12, 2019 at 5:28 am I don't blame Randy Moss at all when he said that I want to make the Cowboys pay for not drafting me and this is coming from a Cowboys fan and Jerrah Jones should have drafted in the the 1998 NFL Draft and he have never lost to the Cowboys in his NFL career Reply July 18, 2019 at 4:59 pm I was at this game..travelled 5000 miles to see my Cowboys slaughtered. The game was not as close as the score indicates, but I got to meet Charles Haley…Worth my plane ticket…i guess.. Reply July 26, 2019 at 9:07 pm Bad haircuts. Reply September 1, 2019 at 11:00 pm Moss always had the cowboys number, nobody on their defense could do anything against him and minnesota dominated dallas for years! Reply September 21, 2019 at 2:41 am We miss you Dennis Green and Korey Stringer. This game was just marred with too many penalties. Still these old games are what memories are made of. The 1998 NFC championship was one of the most stunning upsets in history. The Vikes were meant to be in the Super Bowl that year and was shocking that they lost the NFC title game game. They were to 1998 what the Chicago Bears were to 1985. Reply September 26, 2019 at 10:18 am You really had to be strong mentally to survive a single play back then.
