Worlds Brightest Pocket Flashlight!

Worlds Brightest Pocket Flashlight!

Right now some of you are thinking, here we go again another world’s brightest, or world’s best. Those words we get kicked around a lot on the internet. We hear that all the time, but I assure you the O light x7 Marauder is something very different. Let’s just classify world’s brightest flashlight for a minute. I’m not in any way boasting, but these hands handle a lot of flashlights, but of all of those flashlights they have never held a smaller more compact powerhouse than the light x7. This tiny powerhouse delivers its factory rated 9000 out the front lumens. You might say that I’ve seen plenty of flashlights that say they have a higher output than that, but if you’ve seen my video internet lumens versus actual lumens you know that’s all they’re doing is saying that. There are manufacturers building legitimate lights that output more than 9,000 lumens, but could you do this with one of those lights? How about this? Or even this? Okay maybe not that all i’m saying is none of those lights have the portability at 9,000 lumens that the Olight x7 Marauder has so how about the user interface once again we’ve got the Olight one click on 1-click off UI however this time we have a total of seven modes from the on position we can press and hold the switch will cycle are low medium high low medium high and when you find the one you want you let off but we also have a turbo and a Turbo S mode which can be accessed with a double click and then a double click again that gives you your maximum output of 9,000 lumens death the light does have a mode memory but turbo and Turbo S are not memorized to access the firefly mode you simply press and hold to access the strobe you can do three fast clicks for me position light also has a lockout if you press and hold the firefly comes on continue to press and hold for just a few seconds that will walk out the switch function to gain access again you just press and hold wait a few seconds and then you’re back in business it does not have the mechanical lock out you can unscrew the tailcap but it’s still accessible that way it’s powered by 4 18650 lithium-ion batteries these cells need to be capable of a discharge of at least 8 amps one great thing about this too is it doesn’t just rely on large pcbs like some of the cheap flights they just have one great big PCB in there and the cells slide around on it they have good high-quality contacts and there’s really no way that you could get this wrong as long as you get the batteries in the right direction there’s a couple of pins here that you can see this swivels and these pins will line up in the holes right there looking down the barrel you can see we have three Cree xhp 70 leds highlighted with this attractive blue ring and shrouded with a really good orange peel aluminum reflector that eliminates all of the articles and dark crosses that are associated with the four diameter the beam of the Olight x7 is velvety soft on a white wall and even better once you get outside it has a bright Center but I almost hesitate to call it a hot spot because itself even spread and blends well with this spill but it’s also got range too 313 meters is the calculated beam distance from this life and it feels that way when you’re using it I’d like to hear what you guys thing. Do you have a portable flashlight that you think rivals the Olight x7 for world’s brightest flashlight, let me know in the comments. 1. convoy l6 over this olight any day. 9000lm for 150 seconds, not what you would call useable.

  2. Hey Matt, great video. I liked the humor and the music was pretty good as well.

Interestingly enough, I was researching this light just yesterday. It's out of my price range at $200, but I like the concept.

I may just buy a cheap $40 skyray king with 6 xml2 emitters and swap in a new 12 amp driver. That should be good for almost 5,000 lumen and be more compact than the L6.

Anyway, have you done testing on this light? I'm thinking it must pull 13 plus amps on turbo S.

  3. quite tempted by this one;

  4. meteor m43 is defenetly smaller and gives more output with 12xXP-L HI

  5. how much does it cost

  6. Great Short Review!  Regarding some of the comments…  No One has posted a Factory Flashlight that beats the 9000 Lumens of this Olight X7.  That says a LOT about this pocket rocket!

  7. Mecarmy pt60 9600 lumens

  8. did i miss it how long will it last 30 sec or 30 hours ?

  9. How long will this one run start to finish? I need a 150 watt for my projector so I can burn Families Cd's. The bulb's I have are frorm 70 to 100 and don't last bit an 1/2/hour or so.

  10. I almost bought this but got the Mecarmy pt 60 it is brighter, has better flood and I usb rechargable

  11. Its a great light. Yes, it has a few downsides, but also a 5,500 turbo that will run for 10 minutes plus. Turbo S on mine will give over 6 minutes when hand held ( hand is a very effective heatsink ), but you can feel the heat for sure. The three ' normal levels are well spaced and quite useable. The big thing is being able to use cells of your choice, rather than a proprietary battery pack. No need to replace a whole pack if one cell goes down. Very poorly aligned LED's on delivery, but easily fixable by turning reflector/lens/bezel in relation to board. Double clicks to get to turbo and turbo S ? no big deal. No worse than clicking between normal modes. Maybe Olight could revisit their electronic switch, there are better ones out there. Reflector or optic? Personal preference I guess. Gotta love those X-HP70's though, sort of a modern day M-CE.

  12. I have this light its great, but I wish it was USB rechargeable.

  13. Not that bright I have one that is just a little bit bigger but it's way brighter

  14. I've had over 200 flashlights from every brand you can think of. This light is definitely one of the best. It's just probably just as good as a mecarmy pt60 even though the mecarmy has 9600 lumens. I compared them together and the olight x7 throws the furthest and also has good flood. Mecarmy is more smooth but whatever. I like the olight better all around. Built quality is great except for the leds being slightly off center but again whatever. Everything else is perfect. The best thrower light you can get from olight is the m3xs.

  15. Matt, you mind if I ask you if Olight sent you a free X7 Marauder to test and give your own review?

  16. thumbs up +1
Great product review. thanks for sharing.

  17. Which led chip does are these?

  18. Does anyone here know how much those batteries cost? Cause I do.

  19. It's a very nice I must admit but almost a 300 dollars… 🤔
What you say that you make a video with a budget one. Thanks

  20. you've held alot of fleshlights bro

  21. My flashlight has a built in stun gun but in no way that bright, it can blind people in dark but I guess if you get luminated with that beast your eyes hurt for a while

  22. Hey man how come on the Olightstore it's about 150 and I'm amazon its selling for about 260?
    And I missing something here?
    I'm kind of confused here.

  23. You shouldn't keep your fire extinguisher directly next to the chimney, they should be placed near high risk areas, but close to an exit. Preferably closer to an exit.

  24. I recommend this model https://sites.google.com/site/SupremeFlashlights

  25. That is one awesome light

  26. Nice light, but how hot does it get on turbo and for how long? Often this bright will only make the light become so hot and it doesn't last long. Also 3 or 4 batteries will be much heavier.

  27. Aren't Standard Package for X7, Only X7 KIT !! (WTF)!!

  28. Makes a great bike light!

  29. 9000 lumens is bright, but it only runs at that level for 2 minutes before it powers itself down ,so I choost this one that runs for 5 full hours on high https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FyFDKSn1cQQ&t=29s

  30. Hey bloke. Was that a flying squirrel that zipped past at about 4:00 ? Way cool!

  31. Not the world's brightest, but high output/small package/design&build quality no other light beats.
O wait, its feb 2018 – the Olight X7R is even better!

  32. where can i buy one?

  33. This is almost 2 years old .Anything changes ? I'd like to purchase something like this but I don't want to give my arm and leg for it. Thanks

  34. Can I use my 3.7v 18650 batteries instead of buying the kit for this flashlight ?

  36. How much is the flashlight?

  37. Ugly light, good illumination but not what I would call a pocket light unless you usually run around with beer can in your pocket. Ok I exaggerate, but not much

  38. Think its over 9000!

  39. I got a $17 sky king. It's kinda bright like that one.

  40. I'm carrying 600 lumen flashlight with me and it's just fine. Sure, 9000 lumen is much better however i don't have that much money to afford that. 😀

  41. The x7r is out 12000 lumens

  42. Imalent dT 70 has 4 xp70 and 16000 lumens and also less thermal throttling.

  43. Cree LED is better. Can get that LED and chip in china knockoffs here for 10 bucks.

  44. Have one, love it! Really came in handy when a local 92 year old veteran with dementia went missing at night. A lot of people out searching with no lights(I know… WTF?), but this thing supplied enough light for all of us.

  45. and now we have the TN50 which takes a dump on this light
